Every environment, society, family, kingdom, and even work place has a set of acceptable and appropriate conduct, and this is known as Protocol!  Even Heaven has acceptable protocol in approaching the Presence of God as shown in Psalm 100: 4-5.

When we are new to a place or a culture, sometimes when we are lucky, they are spelt out in a rule book somewhere, but most of the time, we are left to figure out what obtains and what isn’t allowed even though most of it is unspoken.  Many opportunities have been either messed up or even lost because of this.

On today’s show, we seek to understand protocol; what it is, and how to deploy it for greatness.   To help you understand it, here are a few tips:

1.  The first step to understanding protocol is to know that they exist.
2. Regardless of what you know and can do, it is extremely important that you don’t rush to change or alter protocol you are yet to understand.
3. Even relationships have protocol and as unspoken as they can be, it pays to keep them.
4. A man’s protocol is about his comfort, it is counter productive to switch what isn’t your responsibility to maintain.
5. Protocol highlights your capacity to honour and respect others.
6. Even when you are leaving, recognise that there is a way to leave.
